Atkins Residence Hall
Atkins Hall, constructed in 1977, is named in honor of the founder of Winston-Salem State University, Dr. Simon Green Atkins. Atkins was a man of high principles who emphasized how important it is for youth to develop strong personal character and a willingness to work hard to promote the overall good of society.

Atkins Hall is for freshmen women.

Room Configurations:
Atkins Hall has six floors of double and triple rooms.
Each student has a desk, chest of drawers, a sizeable closet, and loftable twin XL beds.
